Legacy is not leaving something for people. It’s leaving something in people. —Peter Strople

Check out the two amazing articles below about OCGems journey with CS Diamonds, as a MENTOR and the Launch of the Young Diamantaires First Charitable project. A call to the global diamond industry to unite & demonstrate the characteristic of Love, especially during this exceedingly difficult & trying time globally.

Launched by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses in 2016 at the 37th World Diamond Congress in Dubai as a discussion group, the Young Diamantaires Group has since evolved into a global network with now over 300 diamond industry members from all around the world.

We’re a group of young professionals working in the diamond industry, with a strong focus on contributing to a better place in the world for those who are less fortunate. We care about people and we care about our planet.

The YD’s have set up their first charity initiative. This initiative was born last year (September 2019) after 25 delegates from the Young Diamantaires group travelled to South Africa to visit the DeBeers Venetia Mine. The goal & objective of the trip was to gain a better understanding of the mining process, the positive impact natural diamonds have brought to the surrounding communities and the environment. During our trip, we then had the opportunity to visit the Renaissance Secondary School, one of 19 schools that were built by the De Beers Group in collaboration with the South African Government. This amazing trip gave us incredible insight into the fantastic work done by De Beers and the positive impact natural diamonds have on communities, the environment, and wildlife, whilst providing a livelihood for millions across the globe. This pushed us into action, so we have created our first project of the Young Diamantaire community to fund the building of a Library and a Kitchen at the Renaissance Secondary School, located in a poverty-stricken area in Limpopo South Africa.

As of today, we are proud to be able to share our passion for contributing to the children and their future personal development.

We share our vision, our passion, and dedication by asking you to assist us in a donation to make the world a better place, one small step at the time.

We ask you to give any small or big donation to ensure the children of the Renaissance Secondary School will be assisted to follow their dreams.

Why a kitchen and library?

Can you imagine, most of the children attend school on only ONE MEAL A DAY?

Can you imagine most of the children attending this school DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO A SAFE & QUIET ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY, FILLED WITH ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES IN ORDER TO BETTER EDUCATE THEMSELVES, WHICH WILL LEAD TO A BETTER STANDARD OF LIVING?
