Hope Children’s Home
“Our circumstances can never define who we are, what we become or who God created us to be, unless we allow them”.-Robin Bhebhe: CEO of OCGems
Majority of the South Sudaneses Refugees are women/children who have lost everything, from their homes, to their livelihood and some even their very own families due to the civil war. Forced to flee and seek refugee in neighboring Uganda, where the United Nations provides 12kg of mealie meal, 3 cups of beans and half a cup of cooking oil per month. During our time in Uganda we stayed at the Orphanage Pastor Anthony runs, with 61 orphanges under his care.
As someone who knows what its like to have your family taken away from you at a very young age, his deisre is for these precious children not go through some of what he went through, as he seeks to provide them with an enviroment where they will know they are precious, valued, loved and most Importantly have a purpose in this world!!!
Take time to reflect, appreciate and cherish the little things God has blessed you with in your life, knowing that it doesn’t end there, but we are to be a blessing to others too. That’s how we take a step to change the world bit by bit.
